Payments

Ask for money without having the conversation.

It is the most uncomfortable job in a small business, so it gets put off — and two months later somebody has to telephone about it.

Read out of Zoho Books. Read-only — we never change an invoice.

Four messages

The last one is not a reminder any more.

Each goes at a point where a payment actually moves, and each says something different — because a month overdue is not a memory problem.

3 days before
"Invoice INV-0042 for ₹18,500 is due on 15 Sep. Reply here if you need anything."
While paying is still easy and nobody has done anything wrong.
on the day
"Invoice INV-0042 for ₹18,500 is due today."
The one most people act on. Short, no apology, no pressure.
a week late
"…was due on 15 Sep and is still open."
Usually forgotten rather than refused, so the tone assumes that.
a month late
"…has been outstanding since 15 Sep. Someone from our side will follow up — reply here if there is a problem with it."
At a month it needs a person, and pretending otherwise wastes everybody's time. The last line matters most: late payments are usually a problem, not a refusal, and nobody ever asks.

All four are off until you switch them on. Connecting Books shows you your invoices; it does not start messaging your customers about money.

Taking the money

A link on the message, and a receipt after.

UPI, cards, netbanking — through Razorpay or straight to your UPI ID. The receipt goes out the moment it lands, which is the message people screenshot and keep.

  • The link is ours, not the Books portal one — that only exists if you have switched the customer portal on, and most have not
  • Part payments recorded, with what is left
  • Every reminder recorded in the chat, so an agent opening it can see what was said about money
Worth knowing

This is the one you can count.

Every other integration's value is felt. This one has a number against it, and a number is what makes somebody renew without being asked.

Zoho Books

Your invoices, where they already are.

One click to connect. We read what is unpaid and never write anything back — an integration that can change somebody's books is one their accountant will not allow.

No Books? Payment links and receipts work on their own — Books is only for reading invoices you already keep there.
