Almost every business here already runs on WhatsApp. Almost none of them have anything that helps.
A wholesaler answers IndiaMART enquiries from a phone on the counter. A clinic writes appointment times into a diary and hopes people turn up. A shop chases an unpaid invoice by working up to the call for three weeks. All of it happens on WhatsApp, and all of it is done by hand.
The software that exists is either built for somewhere else — where people read email and answer the phone — or it is a broadcast tool with a WhatsApp logo on it, sold on how many messages you can send rather than whether any of them work.
afosales is the other thing. It does the parts nobody wanted to type: the order update, the confirmation, the reminder, the eight-second reply to an enquiry that eight other sellers also received. And it stays out of the parts where somebody is deciding whether to buy from you, because that is the bit you are actually good at.
Anybody can list what they will build. These are the things we have already decided against, and they are the ones worth knowing before you trust a platform with your number.
Bought and scraped lists are how a WhatsApp number gets reported and then restricted. Anybody selling you one is selling you the problem.
It makes sending more the goal, which is exactly backwards. You pay for the plan; Meta charges for conversations, and we pass that through at what they charge.
Meta's per-conversation charge is on the pricing page and on the calculator. It costs us a few signups, and it means nobody feels misled in month two.
Export your contacts and conversations whenever you like, before or after you leave, and the number goes back to being only yours. No notice period, no exit fee.
Automation is for the boring half — timings, addresses, order updates. Every path in the product ends at a person, and the good ones end there quickly.
Change your plan or cancel from inside the app, in two taps. A platform that has to trap people is telling you something about itself.
A small company, and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise. It means the person who answers your message is the person who can change the thing you are complaining about — which is worth more than a support tier.
Because a business handing over its WhatsApp number should be able to see who is on the other end of it.
One or two sentences. What you did before, and why you started this — the honest reason, not the pitch.
Same again. Remove this block if it is just you — one honest name beats two, one of which is invented.
Support, sales and complaints all go to the same place, and a person answers. In Hindi or English, whichever is easier.
